Servant - Leadership

At Oak Hill Bible Church, Jesus is the Chief Leader and we strive to follow His direction above all (Eph. 1:22, 23). We also have a team of elders to accomplish the vision and provide spiritual direction to the ministries of Jesus's church as the New Testament prescribes (Titus 1:7, Acts 14:23, 1 Tim. 3:1-7). Our elders love God and His church and would love to come alongside you and/or your family and walk with you in the discipleship process.

Elder - Todd Erdner

As an Elder at Oak Hill Bible Church, Todd is passionate about helping young folks find Jesus and grow in knowledge and obedience to him. Todd has been involved in different high school and college ministries for over 20 years.

Todd grew up in a loving Christian home but didn't understand the Gospel until his junior year in college when Todd trusted Jesus as his Savior. After graduation Todd served as an intern at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto California in the college ministry. During this time an amazing young woman came into Todd's life and eventually Todd convinced her to marry him. Todd and Michelle have been married for 25 years and have 13 kids with the three most recent being adopted from China..

For school, Todd attended Vanderbilt University for a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Math, Stanford University for a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and Dallas Theological Seminar for a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies. Elder - Rick Hewlett

Rick has been an Elder at Oak Hill Bible Church for many years, faithfully serving and pouring into the lives of this family of faith. He came to faith in Jesus at the age of twenty after attending a Navigators group and hearing the gospel.

He has been involved in teaching Bible Studies, providing pastoral care for the home-bound and giving leadership to youth. He's retired now after a long career working for the State of Texas, but he's as busy as ever.

For fun Rick likes spending time with family, reviewing history and exploring current events. His current passion is teaching the power of God's word by leading people in scripture memory. Rick has been married to his wife Cynthia for 34 years and has four grown sons.

Elder - David Neely

David has a deep desire that all around him believe in Jesus for salvation and grow in their love for Him; living in obedience, gratefulness, and service to Him.

David grew in a home where he was exposed to the love of God through Christ on a consistent basis, but did not believe in Him until his first year in college. He spent the rest of his college years serving first briefly in the Navigator ministry, with most of his time in the Inter-varsity campus group. It was in IV that he met the love of his life, Marie. They married shortly after she graduated and have enjoyed 43 years together. They have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.

He graduated with a BA in History at UT Austin. He did not stay in that field, spending most of his career centered around the residential building industry: construction, sales, training, and home inspections.

Retired from the working world, he spends most of his time in discipleship roles, exhorting believers to follow Christ. “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near”. Heb 10:24-25.

Hobbies: Reading Christian novels and world history, and spending time with Marie, his children, and grandchildren.

Student & Worship Pastor- Kyle Hope

Kyle is passionate about sharing Christ, helping others grow in their walk with Him, and worshipping Him through the gift of music.

At thirteen years old, Kyle understood the weight of his sin and surrendered his life to the following of Christ. When he was fifteen he was called to lead worship for his local youth group, which evolved into leading worship for his church, and eventually turned into a traveling worship band. In addition to leading worship, God called Kyle to lead several youth ministries over the years which gave him a heart for teaching and discipling young people.

Kyle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute, and loves to study and ponder theology with fellow believers. Kyle has lived in seven states throughout his life, and considers Texas to be his favorite place to live. Kyle is an avid golfer and loves to coach and compete. He also enjoys creating and admiring art, writing music, shooting guns, and fishing. He loves his beautiful wife of eight years, Ashleigh, and daughter, Miriam, and enjoys spending time and having fun with them.
