WHAT GOES ON IN YOUR CHILD’S CLASS?
EXPLORE CLASSES (NURSERY-PRESCHOOL):
You will check in your kids in the middle building at the kids check-in table and walk them to their classroom. In our nursery, toddler and preschool classroom children have a blast with song activities that introduce and reinforce the teaching of scripture. We walk alongside them as the explore knowing Jesus! After church service, you will pick your child up at the door of their classroom with your claim tag. Hang on to your security tag if your child is attending Sunday School and/or Children’s Church. You will need it to pick your child up from one or both.
ADVENTURE CLASSES (PREK-5TH GRADE):
Our elementary students also check-in at the kids check-in table in the middle building. If they are attending Sunday School you will walk them to their classroom and then pick them up after Sunday School from their classroom with your claim tag. For Children’s Church, you will check your child in if you haven’t already and then they join parents for worship at the beginning of the service. This provides kids the opportunity to experience "big church" and make worship a part of the family. The pastor will release the children to their teachers after worship who will then escort them to their classroom for a time of Bible teaching, small group discussion, and games/crafts that help them apply the teaching of Scripture to their lives.
The safety of your children is a high priority. All of our volunteers have been thoroughly screened and background checked. When you check in your children at the OHBC Kids check-in table (in the middle building) there you will receive a claim tag with a code that will match your child's tag. You may walk them to their classroom when you drop them off (or to the adult worship area if they are in elementary). When you pick them up, you will hand your claim tag to a children’s worker at the door of their classroom and they will get your child and bring them to you. If you misplace your tag, be sure to have your ID handy.
Also, we don’t provide snacks due to the risk of food allergies/preferences. We want to help all parents feel comfortable and keep kids safe.
