At Oak Hill Bible Church, Jesus is the Chief Leader and we strive to follow His direction above all (Eph. 1:22, 23). We also have a team of elder-pastors that provide oversight to the ministries of our church as the New Testament prescribes (Titus 1:7, Acts 14:23, 1 Tim. 3:1-7). Our elder-pastors love God and his church and would be glad to get to know you or answer any questions you have about our church family.

pastor michael goacher

Dr. Michael Goacher was raised in central Texas and came to faith in Jesus in college. He married his California sweetheart Chelsy in 2013 and they've been blessed with two super-busy children, Gabriel and Everly.

Michael is passionate about seeing people encounter God through his word, bringing clarity to the church's mission and helping people find their place to serve. He has served in urban poor ministry, youth ministry, singles ministry, was a teaching pastor, and also served as Lead Pastor of a church in Orange County California for 12 years before coming to serve at Oak Hill Bible Church. When he's not focusing on ministry related tasks, he enjoys spending time with his family exploring Austin, working out, playing guitar or watching the latest episode of The Voice or Fixer Upper.

Michael attended the University of Texas at Austin for a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication, Dallas Theological Seminary for a Masters in Christian Education, and completed his Doctor of Ministry in Discipleship through Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.
