David has a deep desire that all around him believe in Jesus for salvation and grow in their love for Him; living in obedience, gratefulness, and service to Him.
David grew in a home where he was exposed to the love of God through Christ on a consistent basis, but did not believe in Him until his first year in college. He spent the rest of his college years serving first briefly in the Navigator ministry, with most of his time in the Inter-varsity campus group. It was in IV that he met the love of his life, Marie. They married shortly after she graduated and have enjoyed 43 years together. They have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.
He graduated with a BA in History at UT Austin. He did not stay in that field, spending most of his career centered around the residential building industry: construction, sales, training, and home inspections.
Retired from the working world, he spends most of his time in discipleship roles, exhorting believers to follow Christ. “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near”. Heb 10:24-25.
Hobbies: Reading Christian novels and world history, and spending time with Marie, his children, and grandchildren.
